Genetec Security Center 4.0
released |
|
Genetec
announces the release of the latest version of its unified security
platform, Security Center 4.0. The Security Center now seamlessly
unifies Genetec's Omnicast IP video surveillance and Synergis IP
access control systems with its AutoVu IP license plate recognition
(LPR) system, offering customers a single point from which to
monitor their security and safety systems.
One of the most significant
enhancements is the unification of AutoVu, Genetec's IP LPR system,
within the Security Center. AutoVu LPR system users will now enjoy
access to Genetec's cutting-edge and intuitive client application,
the Security Desk, as well as the Security Center's enterprise-level
functionality such as seamless scalability over IP.
Other enhancements to the Security
Center include an innovative feature called Visual Tracking , it
allows operators to intuitively switch from a single camera view to
one or more adjacent cameras with the simple click of a mouse
button. Whether tracking a suspicious individual in real-time or
simply reviewing playback video, operators no longer have to search
for adjacent cameras. Visual cues inside a video display tile allow
operators to seamlessly move to an adjacent camera when the target
leaves the current field of view, all within the same video tile,
and for both live and recorded
video. |

Genetec Synergis Case Study
Terminals Pty Ltd, one of Australia's largest
independent bulk liquid terminalling company opts for an advanced
access control solution to protect hazardous petrochemical
site |
|
|
Located in Melbourne, Australia,
Coode Island is one of Victoria's major bulk liquid storage
facilities. Supplying over 400,000 tons of hazardous and
non-hazardous chemicals yearly, Terminals Pty. Ltd. (Terminals) is
Australia's largest independent bulk liquid terminalling company,
receiving liquid products by pipeline from ships, and storing them
in the approximately 70 tanks throughout the premises.
Terminals shares Coode Island with other bulk liquid storage
facilities.
To ensure the safety of residents and
employees, protect all assets, and potentially decrease operational
costs, Terminals authorities were in a search of a forward-thinking
security solution - they chose Genetec's IP-based access control
solution, Synergis.
